Argghhhh, still haven’t managed to spot the shoes I like! Another unfruitful evening in the shopping mall. (Well, I did get my favourite compact powder from Elianto, and now it has a nice casing to go with it.)

It would be so much easier if I was looking for heels that look like those from christian louboutin shoes. In fact, I saw many shoes on display that have designs similar to these ones, very lady like and elegant. But too bad, I don’t need these heels, I just need a pair of shoes that I can wear to work, that allows me to climb up stairs and cross the pedestrian bridge without pain in my feet. :P

Don’t get me wrong, I like the shoes in these photos. But those are meant for special occasions like dinners and weddings and out on a date, where I don’t have to walk a lot and torture my feet to sores and cramps. I know some women can even run on high heels. They are really the Superwoman of the Millennium.

I really salute them!

Hubby has a work-related dinner to attend, so I am hanging out in the shopping mall, which is on the other side of the highway next to my office.

Actually it’s a good opportunity for me to do some shopping. I still need a third pair of shoes to wear to work. But I am wearing boots today, not the right kind of shoes to wear when you want to shop for shoes!

And I’m one of those picky shoe buyers. I’ve started to shop around for shoes since 2 weeks ago, have been to a couple of shopping malls and a dozen of shoe retail shops, I still can’t find one that I like!

You see, unlike people with acne problem who can try out different products to find the best acne treatment for them, or people who want to lose weight who go all out to whichever best weight loss product made available to them, finding a pair of shoes to me is like looking for the right guy - it should be love at first sight! :P

First impression is right (the shoes design looks pretty), the feeling of the first date is right (the shoes look nice on my feet and I feel comfortable), bingo! He is (the shoes are) the one! Haha!

Well, hubby is going to pick me up late again tomorrow, so I will do my love-at-first-sight shoe hunting tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a successful search. ;P

Hubby and I went to Cameron Highlands last weekend. I wore my pair of Hush Puppies flat pumps, and during a stop at one of the rest stations I realized the sole of the right shoe was coming off. It was as if my shoe had a mouth and its mouth opened with every step I made. Haha!

Luckily, I have a pair of sneakers kept at the back of hubby’s car. So, the moral of this is that - always keep a pair of shoes in your car for emergency use. :P

Speaking of shoes, I need to get a new pair of heels. I have been wearing the same black heels to every occasion. I like that pair of heels (from Vincci) very much, it’s comfortable (provided I don’t stand or walk in it for too long) and cheap! But due to constant use, its wear-and-tear process is also faster than any other pair of shoes. It’s time to get another pair of heels so that I can wear them alternately. Moreover, there’s a wedding dinner to attend in Penang this Christmas. (Another excuse to buy!)

Of course, I won’t be considering branded shoes, like one of those ladies shoes from Stuart Weitzman (they have a good collection of ladies heels). I will only be looking at ladies shoes in Jaya Jusco, or perhaps Bata, haha! Well, cheap shoes can be pretty and comfortable to wear too, right?

I like boots. I used to wear black ankle boots with matching pants or jeans to work. Since I am not working currently, my pair of boots has been kept in the shoe cabinet, collecting dust. Haha!

I also like how knee high boots are worn with tight jeans, or short or long skirt. But I find it quite impossible to wear one of those here due to our hot and humid weather. As for thigh high boots, I can never imagine myself in those, haha!

Boot designs I prefer are something simple, with zipper, not higher than 3 inches, and please, not pointed at the toes. ;)

Pig Leather Knee High Boots

Although this may not look fashionable at all, but I believe it will be the most comfortable knee high boots. It would be nice to wear this to a winter vacation in Europe, hehe.

Lace-up Ankle Boot with Side Zip

I like this design, but the heel is too high for me and the shoe front too pointed.

While Nancy Sinatara sang “These boots are made for walking…”, I’m not sure if I can stand (not walk) for one hour in these…

Do you think you have the skills and endurance to walk in the boots shown above? ;)
