Jeez, I’m so hungry. I had a very light lunch - a simple tuna sandwich and one of those small oranges. I forgot to pack something for today’s lunch when we’re out shopping last night. And I’m bored of eating instant noodles. :P

I’m now waiting for hubby to come back with packed dinner. I’m not cooking tonight coz it’s another cookie-baking night.

You know how one can so easily gain weight by baking cookies? Coz you tend to bake and eat at the same time, haha! And I told myself last week I have to lose 2 kg by CNY. There’s only 4 days left to CNY, and I don’t think there’s any weight loss product can help me now, haha!

And what I’m going to bake tonight is gonna kill, really kills - peanut cookies - made purely from of peanuts, flour, sugar and peanut cooking oil. That’s oh so fattening!!

I think I have to get onto that elliptical machine and workout for at least 15 minutes before I go to bed and zzzz.

January is the month where companies are busy setting their new business targets and strategic plans for a brand new year. That’s why hubby is out of town for such a company meeting.

To the company and their staffs, it’s about whether they are able to grow their business more than the previous year. To the insurance agents, it’s about if they can achieve the highest award and recognition plus getting lots of other incentives, including a trip to….. two Scandinavian countries!!!!!

Jeez, perhaps I should ask hubby to quit his job and start selling insurance instead, and see if he could be as successful as this super agent of the Blue Cross Blue Shield NC. Then he could work his way to get for me free free holiday tickets to all the luxury oversea trips every year - London, Hokkaido, South Africa….

Yeah, that would be nice… but that would also mean that I need to go back to working full-time again! Because the income is unsteady in the beginning stage of an insurance agent career, when you are still trying to build your clientele base, getting contacts, forming network. It’s starting everything from scratch, zero. How to survive if nobody in the family is bringing in cash?

Okay then, may be hubby should stick to his job for the time being, and I’ll be contented to just have holiday in the country, for awhile. :P

*Sniffles* I’m having a flu, and I’m slightly feverish. By right I should start to feel chilly and have cold feet and hands, but I feel the night is too warm, even with the fan spinning at a high speed. Even after a heavy rain!

I’m sleeping over at mom’s place, occupying my sister’s room as she had just left for London two days ago. The air-conditioner in her room is not working. Being used to sleeping in an air-conditioned room at my own house, I know for sure that I will wake up a couple of times in the night, sweating all over.

If sweating in the sleep could help me lose a lot of weight, then I wouldn’t mind it all. Haha! Many women would be then so glad to know that they didn’t have to buy the best weight loss pills or fat burners to get rid of excess body weight. They just have to make sure that they sleep in a warm bedroom and sweat in their sleep to find themselves a pound lighter in the morning! :P

Ok, that’s just my rambling, you’d better not have the slightest hope that what I just mentioned could be true! Haha! Sweat or not sweat, I just hope that tomorrow morning I will wake up feeling better than today.

I just called to cancel my facial originally scheduled at this afternoon. I have a runny nose and just feel tired to leave the house. Don’t think it’s a good idea to go to busy public places (the shopping mall) when I’m down with a flu. I think I will just take an early nap after this.

Perhaps when I wake up later, I will feel better and be able to schedule my activities for this and the coming weeks. My ‘activities’ include - getting a haircut, rescheduling my facial appointment, a trip to the mall to shop for stuffs in preparation for CNY, deciding when to start baking cookies for CNY, when to go to the supermarket to get the baking ingredients, when to spring clean the house, etc.

And when I’m planning all these, I have to carefully plan the expenses as well. I guess work will be easier if there’s a home budget software to help me with it. (If anyone needs a home budgeting software, you can check it out at www.homebudgetsoftware.net.)

Whatever it is, I’ll think about it later. For now, I need some sleep therapy…

It’s only one month to Chinese New Year, I have not started preparing for this festive - haven’t gone shopping, haven’t thought of how to decorate the house, haven’t planned what cookies to bake, haven’t gone for my haircut (the last one was like 9 months ago, haha!), just haven’t got the mood to celebrate yet!

Wouldn’t it be nice if there is some sort of festive preparation service, which help its customers to prepare for CNY, from spring cleaning the house to shopping and baking cookies. :P I think many people, including me, would like to use this kind of service, just like how a company needs managed IT services, or a bride-to-be needs a wedding planner.

Well, even if such services exist, I don’t think I can afford to engage them to work for me, haha! A poor peasant housewife just has to live within her own means, do the house chores herself, and bake cookies on her own. But no matter how poor a peasant housewife is, she still needs to go shopping for new clothes and go for a long-delayed hair cut! :P

Most people are enjoying their year end holiday right now, even if they are not out of town, they are leisurely spending their daytime sleeping, watching DVDs, or shopping in the mall with their bonus.

Not the case for hubby. His company sales closing day is today, and he still has to do some last minute check if there are any sales coming in. Well, I doubt there’s anything you can do on the last day of closing. And usually people won’t be requesting for medical plan or term life insurance quote at this time of the year! People are busing enjoying the last week of 2009! Only shitty company will have their staffs working like cows at such times.

No shopping for me, too. No need to mention why, again it’s about the shitty company. Well, not entirely due to that to be fair. One of my assignment paycheck is still pending after 3 months! I think my client’s finance department must have missed my invoice. So, I have several hundred bucks less to spend. Not to mention that I need to save up my purchasing power for Chinese New Year celebration. Oops!

Jeez, I think this is such a bad ending for me in 2009. I’m really in a shitty mood…. did I even spell the word ’shitty’ right?
