While having lunch today, my colleague who’s a mom to three kids gave me some advice on how to increase chances of getting pregnant. Haha!

Besides suggesting to eat chicken cooked in herbal soup, she also mentioned that to put up the legs high up after intercourse. This is one tip that every woman who’s trying to conceive would know. But what I don’t know is that, rather than just placing pillows underneath the butt to raise the hip, putting up the legs and resting them against the wall is said to be more relaxing and less straining for the legs and back. Hmm, how come I had never thought of that? :P

Actually, just like taking prenatal vitamins (e.g. prenexa) to make sure the body gets sufficient nutrients to cope with pregnancy, it is also important for a woman to prep her body for a pregnancy by taking pre-conception vitamins. I don’t know if normal multivitamin would do the same role as pre-conception vitamins, or there are additional nutrient requirements to meet.

I definitely know that folic acid should be taken once a woman starts her attempt to conceive. Speaking of that, I now remember that I have a bottle of folic acid in the kitchen cabinet. I used to have the habit of taking folic acid, but I’ve stopped taking it. I totally forgot about it! :P

Jeez, I better resume my supplement intake to get myself ready for “B” project! Haha!

Wow! It’s the first anniversary of…. my netbook! Haha! I didn’t count the days, but just noticed that I have just paid the final monthly installment for my Asus Eee PC netbook bought a year ago.

Absolutely love my netbook so far. It hasn’t give me much problem, except that I must not charge it while using it. Other than that, it is behaving very well. Although my internet browser is now slightly low when opening, but it is mainly because I’ve installed so many add-ons.

I think netbooks are really a wonderful light-weight laptop for gals, especially if you like hanging out in cafes, sipping coffee while surfing the net, facebooking or twittering.

Since it’s my netbook’s first ‘birthday’, I think I want to give it a new ‘attire’ - a laptop skin that is. Dear netbook, I will get you your birthday present this Friday, okay? :P

Jeez, sometimes I just feel like I would just migrate to another country where roads and highways don’t become playgrounds of speeding cars, so that I won’t risk my precious life by commuting on dangerous roads everyday! Even lady drivers become so impatient and reckless these days. Not elegant at all! :P

Motorists today are not afraid of speed traps at all. Of course, there is hardly a speed trap in the highways interlinking different parts of the city. Well, they are no longer qualified as highways, but more like a giant parking lot especially after working hours - traffic jam that is!

Many drivers tend to speed - unconsciously - when driving on spacious highways crossing the states. So a device such as a radar detector is very useful to them. A radar detector is a passive electronic device that a driver can use to detect his or her speed is being monitored by a radar unit (speed traps!).

Why would one want to use a radar detector? Well, if the driver knows that he or she is being monitored, then they will reduce their car’s speed before being stopped and summoned for speeding. Some of the high quality radar detectors are such as the Cobra radar detectors.

But, I doubt Malaysians would ever care of using a radar detector at all. A lot of them are just simply notorious, gangsters on the road! Bleh!

Kids these days are so technology savvy, and know how to cleverly use color printers for their school projects, and even for scrapbook projects!

One of the projects that my colleague involves in is an inter-primary school scrapbook contest, organized under a healthy eating awareness campaign. From the hundreds of entries received, many of them have used color printer to print out photos, alphabets and even the short essays they wrote, then cut them out and pasted onto colored papers with beautiful designs.

Based on the print outs, we can see that some children have really good quality printers at home. This reminds me of my old color ink jet printer… should I get a laser color printer too? :P

Even kids get to use high-end color printers nowadays. If you’re running a business and not using epson receipt printer, you need to do something about it! Business owners have to keep up with modern technology and style if they want to survive and stand out from their competitors.

I have already forgotten how it feels like to have to work on weekends and evening of weekdays since I left my previous job. But this Saturday will be the first time me working on a Saturday in my new job.

Well, nothing ‘heavy’ though. Just have to take care of the registration counter of an event, and need to stay on for only a couple of hours. Because the event is going to take place in a shopping mall, so I can conveniently do some window shopping and watch a movie after that. :P

My colleague who is in charge of this project is super busy though. I can see dark circle starts to appear under her eyes. It’s not easy to be a modern woman who juggle work, baby and husband, and still be able to look good. It’s both a challenging and rewarding experience, if done right!

My other younger colleagues complained that how they have aged so much since they started working here, even if they’re only here for less than a year. Well, none of them has the right to complain about aging or getting old as long as I am around, coz I’m the oldest amongst all! Haha!

Sometimes I hope that whoever is reading this blog would forgive me. I can be so erratic in blogging, in terms of the frequency I blog, and the topics I blog about. ;)

I can blog everyday for a week, then go missing in action for another. I can blot about about weight loss one day, telling gals they need to first weigh between adipex side effects and its benefits (or for any product in fact) before starting a weight loss program, and can blog about husband-wife disagreement or annoying neighbor another day. Haha!

I have not been able to blog about various skincare products these days, because I don’t try new products that often now. I may only try new products once every few months. I try to stick to what works for me for a while, until it doesn’t seem able to maintain my skin before I change to something else.

In addition, because I just started working again, most of my money went to filling up my wardrobe and shoe rack, hehe.

But don’t worry. As soon as I have something new on my dressing table, I will surely tell you about it! :)

When I was much younger, during my school days, weekends were the best times because I got to watch TV for whole day long.

Now, as an working individual, weekends are times to get out of the house and into the shopping malls to spend, haha!

So I did some shopping again yesterday at One Utama. I only went into two shops, Iora my favourite boutique, and Viss the shoe shop. Got myself a skirt and two tops. Have to work this coming Saturday and need to wear formal attire. And I didn’t have any really formal attire in my wardrobe since I quit my previous job. :P

Also got myself two pairs of flat thong sandals. I took one pair, but the shop only accept credit card for purchase above RM50. So I took another pair. Luckily both pairs of sandals were sold on a discounted price. Jeez, how they smartly make us spend more!

While I tried out many clothes in Iora and took me some time to decided which items to buy, it only took me just a short while to choose the sandals I want, but sort of got delayed a bit because their barcode scanner seemed to have problem scanning my items. Well, may be it’s not the scanner, but the price sticker that was sort of smeared. Poor hubby, he had to wait for me at Starbucks. Luckily, he had his laptop with him so I didn’t feel guilty too much, hehe

Okay, budget utilized. Have to wait till mid of next month before I can shop again.

Since I complained about the giant zit on my chin last week, IT IS STILL HANGING AROUND today and won’t go away! :(

Went for my facial treatment last week, but my beautician can’t do anything about it, as it was red and big and as my beautician said ‘It’s not time to ‘poke’ it yet.”

Tried using Nexcare acne patch (a round sticker to stick onto the acne and it will absorb sebum out of the congested spot) for a couple of nights. The pimple seemed to shrink slightly. But after stopping using it, the zit resumed to its normal size.

Last night I managed to squeeze out some pus and blood from it. :P Today it got flatter, but it still appears as an obvious dark red round bump on the chin. I don’t have an acne facial cleanser to cleanse my face, but I just bought an anti-acne gel. I have neither used or heard of it before, but I just want to give it a try. It’s one of those acne gel in a pen thing, looks cute. Hehe…

I really don’t get it. I’m almost 4 decades old and I still get pimples! I  must be so hormonally active, haha!

Took out a bunch of flyers and leaflets from my mom’s house mailbox. Food outlets, cleaning services, beauty salons and weight loss products, what else new can you get these days?

The flyer on the weight loss product caught my attention in particular, because it has before and after photos to show the results. Well, the woman really looked like she has lost a lot of weight and got back into shape; not slim, but so much better than her previous weight. I have not heard about the product, but perhaps I would be interested if I’m overweight. :P

Still, a word of caution to all those who want to lose weight by taking weight loss product, whether it’s diet pills, supplements or meal replacement diet. Always look up for as much information as you could to learn more about the product you wish to try. If you have heard a lot about the diet pill Apidexin, then the first thing you would want to do is to check out apidexin reviews.

Because there are so many options out there to choose from, one has to carefully compare products in terms of safety, efficacy, cost and whether the results can be sustained, before deciding which to use. One can’t be too careful when it comes to health. Better safe than sorry, right?
